Original Question/Issue:  Public share using the Filecloud addon in Outlook 365

Environment:

  • Product - FileCloud server
  • Version -  23.232.X.XX
  • Platform -  FileCloud GovCloud
  • Application -  Outlook 365 add on FileCloud
Steps to Reproduce: Settings set to private share
Error/Log Message: When users try to open/view the public share link it asks for the username/password
   
Cause: Settings set to private Share
Resolution/Workaround: Please navigate to FileCloud settings and check if the Default share type is set to Private Share or Password Protected Share. If it is, change it to Public Share, and it won't ask for the username and password anymore.
