Migrate S3 to local - Managed Storage

How can we migrate the managed storage from S3 to Local?

Environment:

• Product - FileCloud Server
• Version - 23.241
• Platform - All

Managed storage configured as S3.

We don't have any tool to migrate from S3 storage to locally managed storage.

Workaround:

You can follow the below high level steps:

1. Setup a new environment: Direct Installation - FileCloud Docs - Server
2. Export all the user data using our export tool from the old environment: Export Files - FileCloud Docs - Server
3. Replicate the settings from the old environment admin portal to the new admin portal (AD settings, DLP, Content Search, ICAP, etc)
4. Re-import the user data using the seeding tool: Migrating Content with the Seeding Tool - FileCloud Docs - Server
5. Recreate the shares or request the users to perform the shares again.
6. Route the traffic to the new environment after internal testing.
