User quota exceeded

Original Question/Issue:

Some users have exceeded their storage quota 

Environment:

• Product - FileCloud
• Version - 23.1.2.22722
• Platform - ALL
• Application - Public Share
  

Steps to Reproduce:

Uploading files via a public share.

Error/Log Message:

The User's quota who created the share is not enforced, users can exceed the limit by uploading files from public shares.

Cause: Bug

Resolution/Workaround:

Apply hotfix to your current FileCloud deployment by following the below instructions:

• Take a backup of the file: C:\xampp\htdocs\src\Core\Infrastructure\Storage\PathEngine\StoragePathEngine.php
• Copy over the previous path the attached patched file: StoragePathEngine.php
• Ensure that Apache user has full control over the new file.
• Apply the above steps for each FileCloud web node.
• Test the patch by uploading files from a public share, now quota should be enforced, users cannot exceed the limit

Notes:

Please note the issue was identified as a bug and our Development Team will fix it in the future FileCloud release 23.241. The release notes will list the fix as CL-14823.
